The Humane Space is seeking a highly enthusiastic Business Development Associate to help build our B2B corporate relationships division.

Our mission is to reconnect adults to wonder, curiosity, and awe through lifelong learning and introspective thinking. We want to help people get to know their truest selves.

We do this in a few ways: We’re building an app to encourage a daily practice of curiosity and awe (launching in Q1 2023); we partner with businesses to make their cultures more curiosity-friendly through communications and programming; and, we create live experiences that promote expansive thinking and a better understanding of the world around us.

We have a highly creative and friendly team that works completely remotely. We value staff who think innovatively, and we encourage collaboration and open communication.

We’re looking for a passionate individual eager to help us build our B2B division to increase curiosity, creativity, and innovative thinking in corporate environments. The position entails continuous outreach to HR professionals, health insurance brokers, and other corporate executives responsible for bringing wellness benefits to their employees. This is likely a position that will transition to full-time within the next year.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prospecting to HR professionals, Chief Education Officers, Chief Wellness Officers, and other corporate executives through a combination of phone calls, email, and other sales channels
  • Help develop outreach strategies, lead processes, and development programs
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for the Executive team
  • Prospecting to HR professionals, Chief Education Officers, Chief Wellness Officers, and other corporate executives through a combination of phone calls, email, and other sales channels
  • Help develop outreach strategies, lead processes, and development programs
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for the Executive team
  • Collaborate with our team as needed to help with product improvement and messaging to corporations and individual prospects

About you:

  • An excellent verbal communicator, storyteller, and writer
  • A creative networker experienced in using traditional methods (email, cold calling) and always experimenting with new approaches
  • A motivated self-starter who is a collaborator, highly organized, and outgoing
  • Comfortable with a data-driven approach to measure and improve outreach efforts
  • You interpret an outreach response of “no” as “maybe later” and are meticulous in following up
  • At least three years of business development experience
  • Enthusiasm for education, wellness, and technology (especially apps)
  • You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and can work quickly and accurately
  • Experience in either human resources, corporate benefits, or wellness is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Slack, and Airtable is preferred
